The UEFA Champions League is the most prestigious football tournaments in the world. It is also the most prestigious club competition in European football. Participants are members of European Football Associations (UEFA) organization where they are champions in their respective countries. In today’s format, the Champions League begins in late June with a preliminary round, three qualifying rounds and a play-off round. Winners of those preliminary rounds will join 26 teams qualified in advance. The 32 teams will be divided into eight groups of four teams and play each other in home and away system. Top two soccer teams in each group will advance to the knockout stages that culminates with the final match in late May or early June.
By the year of 2021, Spanish clubs have the highest number of victories with 18 wins, followed by England (14 wins) and Italy (12 wins). England has the largest number of winning teams, with five clubs having won the title. The competition has been won by 22 clubs, 12 of which have won it more than once. Real Madrid is the most successful club in the tournament’s history, having won it 13 times, including its first five seasons.
This year, schedule of 2022/2023 tournament would follow original yearly schedule where it starts in September 2022 and end in May 2023. Real Madrid is the reigning champion. They are placed in Group F. And, it looks like they will advance the Knock Out rounds without problems.
Also, there is a change in the tie-breaker rule made by UEFA, start from season 2021/2022. There will be no more away goals counted to decide Head-to-Head winner between 2 teams. It applies in both group and knock out matches.

- Group rounds : Just enter the scores
- Knock Out rounds : Place qualified teams in home column brackets. Away teams will be adjusted automatically. Just refer to the drawings at particular dates. Season 2022/2023 should follow round robin system again, except for the final match. Then, put scores in each brackets and place winning teams from previous knock out stages to respective bracket in the next rounds. Do similar steps in Quarterfinals and Semi finals. Just follow drawings result from UEFA.
